Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a multi‑skilled team in maintaining high‑speed protein processing equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure. You will drive PM/PdM programs, oversee rapid emergency repairs, and minimize downtime while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising mechanics/electricians, scheduling shifts, managing work orders, and enforcing safety standards (LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, PPE).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade certification preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance leadership in food manufacturing or protein processing.
• Experience with 3‑phase electrical systems (up to 480V) and PLC troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on mechanical experience with pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and conveyors.
• Deep knowledge of USDA, HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, and sanitary maintenance practices.
• Proficient with CMMS (SAP/Infor/Maximo) for work orders and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance mechanics, electricians, and technicians across shifts.
• Manage shift schedules, work orders, and labor allocation to maximize uptime.
• Enforce safety standards including LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and PPE.
• Oversee PM/PdM programs using CMMS like SAP or Maximo.
• Lead troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
• Analyze RCFA to prevent recurring failures and extend equipment life.
• Ensure sanitary design and proper tear-down/reassembly before pre‑op inspections.
• Collaborate with Sanitation and QA to maintain compliance and safety.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and testing of new processing lines.
