Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
• Ability to perform general janitorial duties.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers and saws.
• Ability to safely use power tools such as hand held drills and circular saws.
• Proficiency with computers, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work cooperatively with on-site staff, vendors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Work to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction at all times.
• Ensure safety, appearance and operational standards.
• Direct and supervise day-to-day administrative operations of maintenance; scheduling and assignment of work; reports and records.
• Perform hands-on maintenance duties to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and cleaning.
• Manage vendor relationships and recordkeeping; handle service requests to market-ready status for vacant apartments.
