Salary Range: $27.50 - $44.00
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall supervision of assigned ancillary service areas, which may include safety, environmental services, laundry, maintenance, infection control, and emergency preparedness. Provides leadership by interacting with health system departments, medical staff, patients/residents, and families. Plans, organizes, and coordinates specialized programs according to federal, state, and local standards and regulations. Develops staff education programs, safety, and security procedures, and chairs departmental committees as needed. Ensures compliance with safety codes and regulations.
Demonstrates leadership, serves as a role model, encourages vision and change, and assists in hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Ensures all areas meet regulatory requirements and supports quality management initiatives. Maintains current certifications and continues education as needed. May assist with additional projects or work assignments.
Qualifications
Associate degree or trade school preferred.
Two years’ experience in related ancillary work preferred; previous leadership/management experience is helpful.
Maintains necessary certifications and licensure.
Depending on location, a valid driver’s license may be required, meeting all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
