Job description

Summary: Plan, organize, manage, and schedule all facilities and personnel at the Dunkirk Plant during the assigned shift, with an emphasis on maintenance and proper equipment operation.

Essential Functions

The incumbent is responsible for organizing, planning, supervising, and scheduling all facilities during their shift, as well as motivating and controlling all employees. They must optimize the use of materials, machinery, and manpower in a variable environment.

  1. Manage plant maintenance functions to ensure proper operation of equipment, especially the Dunkirk Plant press.
  2. Train operators and shift foremen in equipment controls to reduce downtime and maintenance costs while ensuring product quality.
  3. Manage production facilities to produce forged products meeting specifications, costs, and yields aligned with business and customer needs.
  4. Schedule production to meet delivery and quality requirements.
  5. Determine and schedule manpower requirements.
  6. Provide leadership to ensure product accuracy and reliability efficiently.
  7. Plan tooling and inventory needs.
  8. Troubleshoot technical and administrative problems methodically.
  9. Perform administrative duties as required.
  10. Promote a quality culture emphasizing first-time correctness and statistical quality control.
  11. Maintain a safe, clean environment complying with health, safety, and labor standards.
Qualifications

Requires a two-year technical or industrial maintenance degree or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years in maintenance planning, reliability, CMMS, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Courses in Maintenance Planning and RCM are desirable.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Frequent movement around facilities, ability to detect unsafe conditions, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor conditions, requiring PPE. Reasonable accommodations are available.

Additional Notes

The company may assign other duties. Relocation is authorized. Compensation ranges from $81,900 USD, with bonuses, paid time off, holidays, and benefits including health and 401(k). Must be a U.S. Person for security reasons.
