Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Decatur, IL to oversee the Cogeneration facility's maintenance program. This salaried exempt role supervises maintenance and contract staff, establishes safety and reliability standards, and collaborates with the superintendent and other supervisors to plan maintenance activities for safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an industrial maintenance setting.
  • Experience with Maximo, Coupa and CTS preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety in maintenance work.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate parts, materials, and access to improve productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Schedule manpower with the Maintenance Team and coordinate with other supervisors.
  • Ensure jobs are performed safely and on time, and areas are kept clean.
  • Ensure PMs are completed to a high quality standard.
  • Maintain robust communication between Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors/contractors for needed services.
  • Use Maximo and other systems to maintain records and analyze maintenance data.
  • Focus on root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce outages.

Maintenance Supervisor- Decatur, IL

This is a salaried exempt position.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of a Cogeneration facility. This position supervises maintenance and contract employees to ensure a reliable and safe maintenance program for the facility. They must be able to establish expectations for safety, reliability, quality, service, and productivity. Reports to the Maintenance Superintendent, but also works with other Maintenance Supervisors to plan and perform maintenance as required to assure safe, efficient operations. The position is also very involved in applying maintenance reliability practices to avoid maintenance expense and to avoid equipment outages where possible.

Job Functions
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating, parts, materials, and equipment access to improve workforce productivity, safety, and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays.
  • Working with the entire Maintenance Team on scheduling all available manpower.
  • Ensure jobs are performed in a safe, timely manner.
  • Ensure work areas and jobsites are kept clean at all times.
  • Ensure all PM’s are completed on time to a high quality standard.
  • Great communication between Operations & Maintenance Team is a must.
  • Contact outside vendors/contractors for any needed services.
  • Uses Maximo and other computer systems to maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance information.
  • Strong commitment to safety in the performance of maintenance work.
  • Strong demonstrated expertise in mechanical & I&E maintenance with in-depth exposure to other areas.
  • Ability to focus on identification of root causes and corrective actions.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to plan priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for coordination, training, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with industrial maintenance.
  • Must be proactive in dealing with conflict, influencing others, listening, management of priorities, organization and planning, partnering, and utilizing a proactive approach to reliability.
Minimum Requirements

  • Strong demonstrated expertise in mechanical & I&E maintenance with in-depth exposure to other areas.

Other
  • This is a day shift position, but includes “on call” requirements.
  • Must be willing to accept after-hour trouble calls.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
