Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate, manage, teach, develop, coach, facilitate, and motivate TEAM participative skills to attain maintenance & reliability goals, quality standards, safety, housekeeping, training, technology, and behavioral qualities of the individual. The candidate must possess strong leadership skills, multi-tasking abilities, and excellent employee relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for daily activities to the workforce.
• Maintain a safe work environment, free of harassment, adhering to 5S standards and all safety procedures.
• Coach and counsel employees on standard operating practices and best practices for increased performance.
• Coordinate and evaluate training of new employees.
• Monitor product quality to meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Work with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate repairs with the maintenance department to ensure operational continuity.
• Schedule work to meet production deadlines.
• Implement labor agreements, corporate policies, and good housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; B.S. in Business/Management or Engineering preferred.
• 2-4 years of related experience in a supervisory role within a high-production industrial environment, preferably in metal rolling/slitting manufacturing.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and teamwork skills.

Constellium Muscle Shoals is an aluminum manufacturing plant in Alabama with over 1,200 employees. It features the widest strip mill in the USA and a world-class recycling center, capable of recycling nearly 20 billion cans annually. The main product is aluminum can sheet for the packaging industry, including body stock, coated end stock, and tab stock. It also supplies auto body sheet substrate to Constellium’s Bowling Green, Kentucky site.
