Job summary

Cresline Plastic Pipe Co., Inc. in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department and ensure equipment and facilities support production operations, including extrusion machinery and building systems.

The ideal candidate will manage a team of 5–7 mechanics, develop maintenance procedures and schedules, coordinate with engineering on projects and budgets, and promote a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent certification/experience.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Welding and forklift maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance Programs and Root Cause Analysis.
• Industrial experience with mechanical and electrical systems including PLC troubleshooting; RS Linx, S Logic, and Studio 5000.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery, including electrical.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
• Previous management, supervisory, and project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs needed.
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Cresline Plastic Pipe Co., Inc. is an established nationwide manufacturer seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the maintenance department in our Council Bluffs, IA production facility.

The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing a team of 5 to 7 manufacturing maintenance mechanics and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment & facilities to support production operations which include extrusion machinery, electrical & mechanical building systems, painting, welding, fabrication, implementation, oversite of preventative maintenance, and working with the engineering department on projects and capital budgets.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
• Physically able to perform and assist with repairs when needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.
