Job summary

Alter Trading Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Person for our Council Bluffs, IA location. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on all facility equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Expect outdoor work in varying weather, with a Mon-Fri 6:30 AM start and occasional Saturdays. Pay ranges from $24 to $27 per hour and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience working on large equipment.
• Welding (Stick & Mig) and fabrication skills required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders a plus.
• Organizational skills required and ability to lift 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.
• Inspect and conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Prepare & maintain all maintenance records.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of Maintenance Department.
• Involved in ordering parts, welding, and fabrication, minor electrical repairs.

Maintenance Person

Full Time Production Council Bluffs, IA, US

Salary Range: $24.00 To $27.00 Hourly

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our crew. In this role, you’ll work to keep our equipment running at peak performance and efficiency. This work is performed outdoors and subject to the elements, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday starting at 6:30AM, with occasional Saturdays based on maintenance needs.

ABOUT THE JOB:

Job Description/Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.

• Inspect and conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment
• May maintain facility equipment, on or off site including but not limited to:

• Cranes
• Fork Lifts
• Loaders
• Non-ferrous Shear
• Skid Steer
• Sorting Lines
• Shredders
• Trucks
• Trailers
• Wire Striper

• Prepare & maintain all maintenance records
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of Maintenance Department
• You will be involved in variety of other responsibilities including ordering parts, welding, and fabricating, minor electrical repairs

ABOUT YOU:

• Previous Maintenance Experience working on large equipment, required
• Welding (Stick & Mig) and fabricating skills are required.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred
• Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plus
• Organizational skills required
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 pounds
