Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Facilities and Service (Maintenance Supervisor) at Azola in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead a team of technicians, oversee hands-on maintenance, and ensure five-star service for residents.

Qualifications

• 1 year working as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or similar.
• Strong project management skills required.
• Lease-up experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape, appliances and OSHA standards.
• One or more industry certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar).
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.
• Three+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar.
• Basic written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee hands-on maintenance to maintain and enhance community value.
• Perform inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, appliances, exteriors).
• Manage daily apartment inventory to support leasing, including Make-Ready and Turn Board.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and correct them.
• Share rotating on-call duty and respond after hours in uniform.
• Complete Weekly Service Report timely and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in training and mentor technicians.
• Keep records on preventive maintenance, work orders, inventories, logs.
• Maintain excellent customer service with residents and team.
• Oversee capital projects, bidding, and execution.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $34.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on‑call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on‑call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.***

Requirements

• 1 year working as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or similar.
• Strong project management skills required.
• Lease‑up experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA‑related standards.
• One or more industry specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar).
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Three or more years' experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make‑Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee and execute the hands‑on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.
• Perform consistent inspections, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry walling, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes in order to support leasing efforts, including managing the Make‑Ready, Turn Board.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazards.
• Share rotating on‑call duty with service team members and readily available to go the property after hours if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Complete Weekly Service Report in a timely manner.
• Adhere to Mark‑Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies and procedures.
• Participate in training classes.
• Train and mentor Service Technician and Facilities Technicians.
• Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, make‑ready and turn units.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive rapport with all residents and team members.
• Capital project oversight, bidding, and execution.
