Job summary

Sterling Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead on-site maintenance staff and oversee repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building trades. The role ensures upkeep of apartments, common areas, and grounds in line with procedures.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in maintenance, a valid driver's license, EPA certification, and strong customer-focused service orientation. On-site schedule, with on-call weekends/holidays, and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Excellent interpersonal relations, communicative skills and a customer-focused service orientation.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• Valid EPA certification.
• Own and use basic tools, and utilize basic computer programs to perform tasks.
• Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills.
• Must pass drug test, driving record, credit check and background checks prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site maintenance staff in diagnosis and repair across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
• Ensure interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds are completed per procedures.

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will:

• Leader to on-site maintenance staff in diagnosis of problems and repair in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances
• Ensure all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds are completed according to established procedures

Reports to: Property Manager

Schedule:Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
On-Call rotating weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field

Physical Demands:

• Ability to read andcomprehendmoderately complex documents.
