Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor at Commons at Churchland in Chesapeake, Virginia. This full-time role includes supervising and performing maintenance tasks, ensuring the property’s appearance, and maintaining resident relations. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, prior maintenance experience, HVAC certification, and knowledge in plumbing and electrical systems.

The position requires a valid driver's license and entails a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Competitive pay and benefits will be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Prior experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent field required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and perform maintenance and repair work.
• Supervise standard apartment maintenance including painting and appliance repair.
• Complete vacant units to make ready status per established standards.
• Regularly inspect laundry facilities and common areas.
• Ensure high level curb appeal through grounds maintenance.
• Monitor budgeted maintenance expenses.
• Follow Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards.
• Participate in resident functions as requested.
