Maintenance Supervisor - AGC

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager, General Aviation Operations, this position supervises personnel and oversees daily maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all airfield and airport areas within the Allegheny County Airport (AGC) complex, associated facilities, and equipment. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance work, responding to emergency calls, generating work orders, reviewing contractor invoices, and participating in safety meetings and training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise, plan, assign, and coordinate maintenance work by personnel and contractors.
  2. Maintain airport facilities, grounds, and airfield equipment.
  3. Respond to emergencies and generate work orders.
  4. Review contractor invoices for compliance.
  5. Meet with tenants, departments, and vendors to review activities.
  6. Participate in safety meetings and develop safety and maintenance training.
  7. Develop preventative maintenance programs.
  8. Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  9. Prepare reports and documentation.
  10. Perform other related tasks as required.
Key Competencies

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five years of maintenance supervisory experience in a union environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with trades practices, safety, union contracts, and airport operations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under stress.
Physical Demands

Includes sitting, standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and vision requirements. Must be able to drive at night.
