Job summary

Christopher Community, Inc. seeks a Full-Time Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Bishop Harrison and Pompei North Apartments in Syracuse, NY. The role oversees maintenance operations, supervises staff, and coordinates with property management to maintain high standards of living for residents.

You will manage repairs, preventive maintenance, grounds work, and contractor relations while adhering to safety protocols and scheduling constraints. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–5 years related maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a valid NYS driver's license and a registered/insured vehicle.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Property Manager to schedule general maintenance and supervise contractors.
• Maintain maintenance logs and update the Maintenance Manual.
• Perform repairs to heating, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect vacated apartments, prepare for occupancy, and clean appliances.
• Coordinate grounds maintenance and snow removal per the snow log.
• Oversee contracted services (trash removal, extermination).
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Participate in on-call coverage every other weekend within 30-minute drive.
