Masterson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee union maintenance staff, plan activities, and optimize equipment uptime while prioritizing safety and cost efficiency.

The role requires leadership, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and familiarity with PLC-driven equipment. Applicants should have related maintenance experience, with a preference for food industry background and supervisory skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance; food/beverage/chemical experience preferred.
• 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA Codes, GMPs and sanitary design; environmental regulations.
• Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office; CMMS experience; PLC driven components desired.

Responsabilidades

• Plans and schedules employees to meet production schedule and maintenance priorities.
• Provides supervisory support including training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Directs safety practices, reports issues, and ensures compliance with safety guidelines.
• Inspects facility grounds, equipment, and systems to assess condition and functionality.
• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Manages storage of parts and supplies in maintenance area.
• On-call availability with rotating weekends.
• Ensures compliance with safety, food safety, and company policies.

Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

Under the direction of maintenance management, this position assists in the supervision of union maintenance staff by planning, directing, coordinating activities to maintain and improve equipment ensuring employee safety and maximizing the plant’s up-time, product quality, and cost effectiveness.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules employees efficiently to meet operational requirements according to production schedule, preventative maintenance schedules and work order priorities.
• Provides overall supervisory support for maintenance personnel which includes training, coaching, counseling, performance evaluation and directing activities of the staff.
• Train, motivate and direct employees to adhere to safe work methods by maintaining compliance with safety guidelines, reporting safety issues, and recommending remedial action to ensure safety in the facility.
• Conduct rounds of interior and exterior of facility to monitor the maintenance team and assess functionality / condition of the grounds, facility, and equipment.
• Seeks continuous improvement by recommending equipment, facility, and method improvements to promote efficiency, services, and reduce costs.
• Responsible for orderly storage of parts and supplies within the shop and maintenance stores area.
• Must be available to be on call and work rotating weekends.
• Responsible for all aspects of safety, food safety, continuous improvement/efficiency improvement and adhering to policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program preferred. Should be able to demonstrate a combination of relevant coursework and hands-on experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• At least 4 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance role. Food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1+ year(s) supervisory experience.

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLC’s.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with problem-solving skills.

• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• General knowledge of OSHA Codes, GMP's and sanitary design. Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Suite, knowledge of CMMS, experience with PLC driven components is desired.
