Job summary

Dana is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Fort Wayne, IN to oversee daily maintenance operations, lead technicians, and ensure asset reliability. You will coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and drive safety and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will coach staff, manage work orders, review equipment history, and support budgeting for maintenance resources. Strong leadership and ability to read blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance leadership or supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Lead and schedule maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and ensure proper staffing to support production needs.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to staff.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs and root cause analysis.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Support planning and budgeting for maintenance resources and capital improvements.
• Maintain flexibility to work other shifts and weekends as necessary.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
• 3+ years of experience

Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems commonly used in automotive manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams, delegate tasks, manage priorities, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Preferred to have experience in a manufacturing unionized work environment.
