Compensation
- Starting base salary for this position is: $69,000 per year
- Pay is based on job-related experience
Schedule and Location
- Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
- This position is full time at the St. Michael location
Essential Functions
- Supervisory duties: Motivates team to do their best work by regularly providing coaching, feedback, recognition and appreciation. Align, promote and abide by our J&B core values. Responsibilities include goal setting and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems, writing and conducting disciplinary actions and performance evaluations, and participating in employment decisions. Actions also include supervising workloads according to upcoming production needs, tracking overtime and shift coverage.
- Operates in compliance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures. Oversees and monitors quality within the processing area, delegate’s tasks, monitors reports, and responds accordingly. Manages incoming work requests, continually monitoring and reassigning workloads for better equipment efficiencies and reduced lost time.
- Supervise the Quality and Safety of Product: Monitor work quality and response times. Ensures all repairs meet quality expectations and OHSA requirements. Conducts safety meetings. Works with Director of Safety on walk through/safety audits. Complies with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn various computer systems quickly.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining the utmost professionalism.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish, preferred.
Physical And Environmental Factors
- Safety Awareness - Follow all safety laws, policies, and procedures. Immediately report safety concerns to supervisor. Attend, and successfully complete, when applicable, all required safety training.
- Quality Awareness - Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF).
- Includes activities such as but not limited to walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning
- Requires ability to lift, up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
- Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
- Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly
- Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels
- Ability to wear all required PPE.
