Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal‑management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative‑energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world’s original‑equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Purpose

This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio. The facility is a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with appropriate departments to plan and schedule required repairs and preventive maintenance utilizing available time and personnel.
  • Procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work.
  • Communicates with contractors directly on outsourced work and the performance expectations of that work.
  • Works with vendors to identify replacement components and new technology to improve productivity and throughput.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by the preventive maintenance program; testing systems and equipment, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components and parts.
  • Assists in all items associated with the quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
  • Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
  • Maintains daily timekeeping, work orders, and all records in regards to the maintenance program.
  • Ensures all equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with local and federal codes and regulations.
  • Supervises employees within the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervision or leadership experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement, predictive/performance maintenance programs, and proven effectiveness in MTTF/MTBF reductions.
  • Technical experience at the Journeyman level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to appropriately assess and manage risk factors.
  • Self‑motivated, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work off‑shift, overtime, and on weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel for education, training, and maintenance department representation for DOS or sister plant workshops.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Kanban.
  • Ability to lead projects.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, or a legal alien.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must meet the physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and pre‑employment verifications.
