Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all daily activities of the facility maintenance teams. This role oversees the execution of work orders and manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills within a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with Quality Assurance to support and enforce food safety and quality programs.
- Direct and support maintenance staff in troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program, including scheduling, documentation, and assignment of tasks.
- Use work order history and equipment data to determine maintenance timing and needs.
- Identify necessary resources and ensure availability before scheduling maintenance work.
- Estimate job requirements and man-hours, entering all relevant data into the CMMS.
- Participate in daily/weekly planning meetings with facility leadership.
- Analyze maintenance performance and identify process improvements.
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety standards and training protocols.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college coursework or mechanical vocational training is preferred.
- 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS or similar systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to learning and growth.
- Collaborates with maintenance mechanics, facility leadership, and inventory control teams.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
- Regular use of hands and fingers.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must have hearing ability and color vision.
Compensation:
$90,000 per year
