Home Market Foods is seeking a hands-on 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of 5-7 mechanics. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and precision component replacement on production equipment.

TIG welding and adherence to safety protocols are essential. The role offers a starting pay of $40–$50 per hour, with overtime eligibility and growth through certifications in boiler, wastewater, and refrigeration.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of maintenance supervisor experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• 10 years of mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Expertise diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with cGMP/GMP standards; SQF and/or HAACP preferred.
• CMMS experience; Megamotion knowledge a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Range: Please note, this role will be starting at a range between $40/hr. to $50/hr. depending on overall skills and experience.

This will be a first shift opportunity 5:00am - 5:15pm following a 2-2-3 schedule(2 days on, have 2 days off, then work 3 days, followed by the opposite the following week.).

What You’ll Do:

• Effectively lead & supervise 5-7 Maintenance Mechanics of various expertise and experience.
• Hands on troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep all machinery running smoothly.
• Identify and replace broken or worn components with precision.
• Showcase your TIG welding skills.
• Adhere to and enforce strict safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Collaborate with and direct Level I & II mechanics to achieve shift goals and project objectives.
• Take guidance from the Maintenance Manager and Senior Director of Plant Operations.
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

• 3-5+ years of previous maintenance mechanic supervisory experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• 10 years of mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with cGMP/GMP standards. Experience with SQF and/or HAACP preferred.
• CMMS experience. Knowledge of Megamotion a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with a knack for multitasking.
• General knowledge of MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
• A valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred
• Ammonia Refrigeration REQUIRED. 2nd Fireman’s, Wastewater and Journeyman Electrical are preferred.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Regularly communicate and hear effectively, with good vision and manual dexterity.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and perform various physical movements, including walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing ladders.
• Work in both hot and cold environments, with periodic rotation and potential holiday duties.
• Wear company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
