Job summary

Pilgrim's in Virginia is seeking a maintenance supervisor to lead a team responsible for repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, facilities, and utilities. You will plan and assign schedules to ensure timely completion and compliance with safety standards.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting facility improvements, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends. Experience in poultry or food manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education to minimum High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in poultry or food manufacturing.
  • Experience with processing equipment and industrial maintenance systems.

  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team members in problem-solving and technical development.
  • Support facility improvements and manage procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies to drive efficient operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in poultry or food manufacturing; experience with processing equipment and industrial maintenance systems.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, proficiency in plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems; strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills; basic computer skills and ability to support maintenance systems; ability to become Haz‑Mat team qualified.
