Job summary

Reynolds American in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a manufacturing maintenance team and ensure equipment reliability. You will plan, organize, and direct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while coordinating with Operations and Engineering.

The role requires strong leadership, experience managing direct reports in a regulated manufacturing environment, SAP proficiency, and a track record of improving uptime.

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor in Winston-Salem, NC.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manages Tech Support staffing daily work plans, evaluates performance and maintains administrative responsibilities for the team
  • Maximizes equipment reliability and availability by returning equipment to OEM design standards through use of planned maintenance.
  • Plans and manages corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work order using tech support staffing.
  • Ensures that all internal partners of the Maintenance department receive timely, efficient, and quality services.
  • Collaborates with Operations management and engineering to balance daily output with the need for equipment reliability through pro-active maintenance.
  • Performs long and short-range planning and provides data to support budget and staffing requirements.
  • Communicates job expectations to a team of direct reports; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches and counsels to help employees meet performance standards. Maintains a qualified staff by seeking opportunities to expand their knowledge and abilities.
What are we looking for?
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing setting.
  • Prior experience in tobacco, beverage or food industry.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated work environment.
  • Knowledge/experience with Integrated Work Systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven self-starter who generates new ideas and challenges the status quo.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in SAP software skills, (including Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to quickly learn new computer skills.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering or related field or 7+ years relevant progressive work experience preferred.
