Job Overview : Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor

The Production Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on all machinery. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude to solve problems safely. The supervisor will lead a team of 21 technicians, working closely with team members to resolve machine issues and keep management informed of projects that may impact equipment and production in a TPM environment.

Shift : 1st Shift - flexibility to work off shift or weekends if needed

Position Responsibilities :

Lead a team of Mechanics to maximize productivity.

Train and coach maintenance personnel to develop skills.

Identify and share best practices throughout the maintenance department.

Identify and develop improvement opportunities to increase equipment uptime.

Implement and evolve Preventative Maintenance programs based on data analysis.

Aid in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.

Prioritize work requests based on preventive maintenance and downtime data.

Translate equipment manuals into meaningful Preventative Maintenance schedules.

Monitor and evaluate all equipment systems for continuous improvements.

Manage Maintenance team labor to support operations and reduce overtime.

Optimize resources ensuring product quality and compliance with regulations (FDA, USDA, GMPs, HACCP).

Maintain accurate sanitation schedules and oversee proper procedures.

Work with planners to schedule work/jobs.

Monitor production schedules for quality, quantity, and safety.

Write, update, and maintain SOPs.

Ensure timely reporting and management documentation.

Manage budgets, supplies, and capital equipment to meet production needs.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and investigate microbiological issues.

Provide training and cross-training to meet standards within budget and safety requirements.

Establish project ownership and schedules within the team.

Oversee installation of facility/project equipment.

Use TPM practices to optimize work processes and equipment reliability.

Total Rewards : $72,100.00 - $110,000

Requirements : Bachelor degree preferred (Engineering, Supply Chain, or related), 3+ years of continuous improvement experience (TPM, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma), 2+ years in maintenance leadership in an automated manufacturing environment.
