Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanics and front-line leads in a manufacturing environment. You will develop and drive maintenance strategies, ensure equipment reliability, and manage safety and efficiency across shifts at our plant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
  • 3+ years site-based manufacturing experience in Beverage/Foods or Consumer Products recommended
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, shown by a major improvement project
  • Ability to think quickly, take initiative, think creatively and challenge team
  • Strong project management skills and results-oriented mindset
  • Proven leadership ability to mentor and develop others, and work in a dynamic environment
  • US work authorization required for this position

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the PC/EXT processing strategy focusing on food safety, personal safety, and CAPEX
  • Lead FLNA food safety initiatives within the plant
  • Deliver change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Build capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training and communication for frontline and salaried staff
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve operational issues and work with suppliers and internal customers
  • Conduct presentations and formal training programs
  • Maintain regular presence on the plant floor and accommodate occasional poor weather conditions
  • Off-shift and weekend work as required

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor leads a maintenance department (that includes front line Mechanic Leads and a team of mechanics. She or he is responsible for people and team development, motivating the team and ensuring quality performance. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit across all shifts. Responsibilities include achieving site performance for Unplanned Downtime, equipment reliability, True Efficiency, and department’s overall maintenance. This role will also coach team members to utilize the processes and facilitate problem solving on the floor.

  • Ensure that Mechanic Leads and teams within the business unit are developed and held accountable for achieving individual, team and business unit goals
  • Solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Developing, implementing, & leading the PC/EXT processing strategy to include food safety, personal safety, and CAPEX
  • Developing, implementing, & leading FLNA food safety initiatives within the plant
  • Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front‑line hourly and salaried personnel
  • Communicate and collaborate cross‑functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal customers to deliver expected results
  • Conduct presentations and formal training programs
  • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor and may require occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow
  • This role requires off‑shift and weekend work.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
  • Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off in accordance with policy is subject to eligibility and includes vacation, holiday, sick, bereavement and parental leave.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
  • 3+ year’s site‑based manufacturing experience – Beverage/Foods manufacturing or Consumer Products Sector (Household & Personal Products Industry) experience is strongly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, proven by successful completion of a major improvement project
  • Ability to think quickly, take initiative, think creatively and challenge team to do the same
  • Possess strong skills in project management
  • Proven ability to work in a results‑oriented, dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
