What you will be doing: The Professional Maintenance Lead directs skilled trades employees to meet the objectives of the maintenance department in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coordinating safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives; driving throughput improvements; and providing coaching and mentoring on World Class Manufacturing techniques. Additional duties include overseeing maintenance activities, influencing KPIs, addressing equipment throughput issues, supervising skilled trades, and leading continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need to be successful: Essential: Ability to work any shift, valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience with project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, troubleshooting ability, leadership qualities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position is 100% onsite.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field, experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, leadership in union environments, Six Sigma certification, and familiarity with various manufacturing systems and controls.
