Job summary

Dana Canada Corp. is seeking a maintenance leader to supervise and coordinate a multi-trade maintenance team in a large manufacturing facility. You will manage 100+ employees, oversee PM programs, and ensure safety and compliance across all plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience, plus 3+ years in a similar setting. Strong organizational and communication skills, with willingness to work overtime and travel for education or workshops, are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating multiple trades.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities as directed by manager.
  • Lead and schedule maintenance technicians; assign work orders and staffing.
  • Maintain function and reliability of facility systems under PM program; test, repair, replace components.
  • Assist with quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
  • Manage skilled trades and plant services for 100+ employees.
  • Maintain high housekeeping, safety and general maintenance standards.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain discipline within departments.
  • Maintain daily timekeeping, work orders and maintenance records.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe to operate.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal codes and regulations.

Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates maintenance activities as directed by the manager.
  • Lead and schedule maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and ensure proper staffing to support production needs.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by the PM program; testing systems and equipment, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components and parts.
  • Assist in all items associated with the quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
  • Manage skilled trades, and plant services of 100+ employees.
  • Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
  • Monitors employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records along with maintaining discipline within the departments.
  • Maintain daily timekeeping, work orders, and all records in regards to the maintenance program.
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with local and federal codes and regulations.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
  • 3+ years of experience
Skills
  • Proven ability to appropriately assess and manage risk factors.
  • Self-motivated, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with good organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing a maintenance department of several different trades groups.
  • Must have the ability to work off shift and work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel for education, training, and maintenance department representation for DOS or sister plant workshops.
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Kanban.
  • Must have the ability to lead projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
