Job summary

Diversicare in Mississippi is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain our healthcare facility's building systems. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, kitchen equipment, and safety inspections to keep our campus safe and comfortable for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated HVAC repair experience.
• Intermediate skillset in electrical and plumbing repair highly desired.
• Knowledge of water heaters, generators, commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• Completion of High School/GED education or ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains maintenance records as instructed.
• Performs building and equipment repairs as per work order requests.
• Performs fire safety equipment tests under guidance of the Regional Maintenance Director.
• Inspects building systems as scheduled and logs findings.
• Coordinates maintenance services with department managers to ensure building/equipment performance.
• Performs basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as required.
• Maintains the building in good repair and in compliance with laws.
• Follows safety rules and Policies & Procedures of building.
• Orders equipment and supplies as necessary; maintains records.
• May be required to drive for company business.
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.

• Order equipment and supplies as necessary; and maintain proper records of repairs and purchases.
• May be required to drive for company business with either company vehicle personal vehicle
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect
