Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our 61 skilled nursing and long-term care centers nationwide, including facilities in the Southeast and Midwest. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repair work, and safety compliance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have HVAC repair experience, basic electrical/plumbing skills, and a solid understanding of building codes.

Qualifications

• HVAC repair experience is required.
• Intermediate skillset in electrical and plumbing repair highly desirable.
• Knowledge of water heaters, generators, commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• Complete High School/GED or ability to read/write and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance records as instructed.
• Repair building and equipment per work orders.
• Conduct fire safety equipment tests under guidance.
• Inspect building systems and log findings.
• Coordinate maintenance services with managers to avoid interruptions.
• Perform basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains maintenance records as instructed.
• Perform building and equipment repairs, as per work order requests.
• Performs fire safety equipment tests under the guidance of the Regional Maintenance Director.
• Inspects building systems as scheduled and log findings.
• Coordinate maintenance services with department managers to ensure building and equipment performance without interruption.
• Performs basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting as required to maintain favorable building appearance.
• Maintains the building in good repair and in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Follows established safety rules and Policies & Procedures of building.
• Order equipment and supplies as necessary; and maintain proper records of repairs and purchases.
• May be required to drive for company business with either company vehicle personal vehicle
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect

Qualifications
