Burbank Housing Management Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across assigned properties in the San Francisco area. You will lead technicians, schedule unit turns, and ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
The role requires strong organizational and supervisory skills, with on-site leadership and willingness to respond to off-hours emergencies when needed.

Salary Range: $36.06 - $38.46 Hourly
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance. This includes but is not limited to the organization and oversight of the routine and daily maintenance at a specified group of Burbank Housing apartment complexes, including the day to day scheduling and supervision of maintenance staff Maintenance Supervisors report directly to the Facilities Manager and are expected to interact frequently with the Site Management staff to help identify the needs of the properties. They are expected to work proactively, following and enforcing Burbank Housing standards and procedures. Maintenance Supervisors are expected to develop a strong working knowledge of all physical aspects of the properties within their assigned portfolio. The position requires good organizational and supervisory skills as well as the ability to prioritize and identify work according to the needs of the properties. In this leadership role, Maintenance Supervisors may be called upon to respond to and/or manage off-hour emergencies.

Ability to assess a project and/or task and estimate time needed to complete said task. Ability to read, interpret and complete work orders, ability to supervise others while assessing and reporting the maintenance needs of the properties assigned.
Maintenance Management Skills: Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized and sensitive to the needs and concerns of properties, tenants and staff. Ability to assess a project and/or task and estimate time needed to complete said task. Ability to read, interpret and complete work orders, ability to supervise others while assessing and reporting the maintenance needs of the properties assigned.

Education and/or Experience: At least four (4) years’ experience in residential maintenance or a similar trade.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write and interpret work orders. Ability to effectively communicate with management information and status of the work being done and document completed work orders or any follow-up required.
While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to walk; climb stairs, sit; use hands to handle objects/operate keyboards, tools or controls and power tools; apply repetitive motion with hammers and other hand tools, haul materials and push and pull with force; reach with hands and arms (above the head and below the waist); lift up to 50 pounds; stoop; climb ladders, kneel and crouch; talk and hear. Employee is required to work inside and outside in inclement weather, and may be required to walk over uneven ground. Employee may be required to drive a motor vehicle or other motorized cart and must maintain a Class C California Driver’s License in good standing.
Employee is required to work safely and anticipate hazards, to request training if the safe use of equipment is unknown, to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when hazards require such as respiratory protection when paint-spraying, working in dusty conditions, etc. See Respiratory Protection Program Guidelines.
The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to high.
