Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift) in Saltillo, MS. This leadership role directs facility maintenance operations, coordinates machine maintenance and electro-mechanical technicians, and ensures maximum uptime for manufacturing and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities (Maintenance Leadership & Operations):

• Direct daily activities and assign task priorities for electro-mechanical technicians and machine maintenance crews.
• Oversee scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs across industrial machinery and plant facilities.
• Assist production management in equipment maintenance, operator training, and safe machine operation.
• Drive corporate-wide continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational downtime.
• Manage maintenance work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities (Safety & Compliance):

• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and facility safety standards.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and champion workplace safety across all maintenance shifts.
• Partner with plant operations to optimize building infrastructure, compressed air, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance reviews for maintenance team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Supervisory Management or technical field desired.
• 2+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong technical background in industrial electrical systems, mechanical machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize emergency repairs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational, diagnostic, and cross-functional communication skills.
