Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance tasks across our apartment communities in Rockport, TX. This role ensures the property looks great and operates smoothly for residents and visitors.

You will handle preventive and corrective work, inspections, make-ready procedures, and after-hours calls, coordinating with the Property Manager as needed. Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills are essential, with on-call

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
