Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of Maintenance Technicians at its plant in Ridgeville, SC. You will own preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment projects while partnering with production, engineering, and EHS to ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years hands-on industrial maintenance in manufacturing.
  • 2+ years in supervisory or lead maintenance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with CMMS for work orders and PM scheduling.
  • Familiarity with LOTO/OSHA rules and permit-to-work processes.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance operations: PM execution, breakdown response, equipment improvement projects.
  • Enforce safety standards: PPE, LOTO, permit-to-work, JSA documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisor; communicate equipment status; manage downtime escalations.
  • Work with Maintenance Planner to ensure PMs are scheduled and completed on time.
  • Ensure complete work order documentation with notes, photos, parts, and labor hours.
  • Conduct performance reviews; give feedback; recognize achievements and address gaps.
  • Manage attendance, training, and day-to-day performance of direct reports.
  • Develop technicians for career growth; support professional development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture focused on accountability, collaboration and safety.
  • Allocate personnel and equipment to meet operational objectives efficiently.
  • Resolve conflicts fairly and diplomatically within the team.

Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor willbe responsible forleading a team of Maintenance Technicians who execute preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and equipment improvement projects across our mechanical separation facility. Serving as the on-site maintenance leader, you will be expected to own crew performance, safety accountability, and the reliability of plant equipment while working closely with production, engineering, and EHS teams. You will be working in a startup culture.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance operations including preventive maintenance execution, breakdown response, and equipment improvement projects
  • Enforce safety standards across the crew, including PPE compliance, lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and job safety analysis completion
  • Partner with the Production Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities, communicate equipment status, and manage escalations during downtime events
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure PMs are scheduled and completed on time
  • Hold the crew accountable for complete andaccuratework order documentation including notes, photos, parts used, and labor hours
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide direct, constructive feedback; recognize achievement and address areas for improvement
  • Manage attendance, training compliance, and day-to-day performance for all direct reports
  • Develop technicians technically and professionally to support their career growth
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and safety
  • Efficientlyallocatepersonnel and equipment to meet operational objectives
  • Effectively manage conflicts within the team using fair and diplomatic approaches

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience managing maintenance technicians
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CMMS platforms for work order management, PM scheduling, and parts tracking
  • Solid understanding of LOTO/OSHA requirements and permit-to-work systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
