What You Will Do:

The Maintenance Supervisor position organizes and schedules maintenance personnel, activities, and equipment to ensure that equipment is well-maintained and running smoothly. Responsibilities also include monitoring employee performance and planning daily staffing to meet workload while also supporting the Operations team regarding equipment-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules maintenance personnel based on production and facility needs
  • Develops a preventative maintenance list for all new equipment and ensures faithful and timely execution of all preventative maintenance procedures
  • Ensures spare parts are entered into asset management software and that critical spare parts are always on hand
  • Communicates directly with operations team to inform on and prioritize maintenance activities
  • Directly manages and develops all maintenance personnel
  • Performs facility maintenance when available

Food Safety Requirements:

  • Coordinate with QA and Production teams when scheduling repair and maintenance activities in areas that may impact food safety and quality
  • Accountable for accurate records of repair and maintenance activities to support GMP documentation
  • Responsible for coordinating with the QA team, to ensure the maintenance team has relevant training in GMPs
  • Must adhere to systemwide GMPs, as expected of all JP personnel

Requirements:

  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred. Ice cream plant experience would be a plus.
  • Must be a highly organized, self-motivated person who can work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Technical abilities include knowledge of trouble shooting with in areas of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication.
  • Must be familiar with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and QC standards required in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency.
