University City Housing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for Summit Park Communities in the Philadelphia area. The role involves supervising a maintenance team and performing skilled trades to maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team’s daily work orders, turnovers, renovations, and capital improvements.
• Maintain and repair building structures, grounds, and equipment.
• Keep records of material usage, time, production, and reports.
• Perform maintenance across trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance repair).
• Participate in on-call emergency schedule and snow removal as required.

UCH is actively seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Summit Park Communities!
The Maintenance Supervisor will perform a variety of skilled duties in building trades, such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical work, appliance repair, boiler and HVAC repair for purpose of maintaining, repairing or remodeling buildings and facilities. It is up to the team to ensure that the best possible customer service is provided to our residents and that they are satisfied.
Maintenance Supervisor Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of your maintenance team; daily work orders, turnovers, renovations, capital improvements
• Maintaining and repairing physical structures of the buildings, the grounds, and equipment
• Maintain required records such as material usage, time, production and other reports
• Perform a wide range of technical maintenance and repair operations, including grounds, snow removal, HVAC, pools, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting
• Maintain and work a routine on-call emergency response schedule
• Perform snow removal and salting as required
• Maintain a positive work environment, motivate the team, and cultivate a team atmosphere including implementing and enforcing all rules established in the companies Rules/Policies and Procedures documents
• Train and develop new maintenance team members as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous supervisor experience
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and flexible
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong work ethic
• Stable, progressive work history and 5+ years’ experience in the property maintenance industry
• Strong plumbing background with dual temp system experience a plus
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle
