Job summary

University City Housing, a Philadelphia‑based property management company, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Summit Park Communities. You will lead the maintenance team, manage daily work orders, and oversee renovations and capital improvements to ensure resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in property maintenance, strong supervisory and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the property maintenance industry.
• Strong plumbing background a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and flexible.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the maintenance team; daily work orders, turnovers, renovations, capital improvements.
• Maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Maintaining required records such as material usage, time, production and other reports.
• Performing a wide range of technical maintenance and repair operations (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, painting).
• Maintaining a routine on‑call emergency response schedule.

Position Overview

Maintenance Supervisor – Summit Park Communities

The Maintenance Supervisor will perform a variety of skilled duties in building trades, such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical work, appliance repair, and boiler and HVAC repair for the purpose of maintaining, repairing or remodeling buildings and facilities. The team is responsible for ensuring the best possible customer service is provided to residents and their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team; daily work orders, turnovers, renovations, capital improvements
• Maintaining and repairing physical structures of the buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Maintaining required records such as material usage, time, production and other reports
• Performing a wide range of technical maintenance and repair operations, including grounds, snow removal, HVAC, pools, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting
• Maintaining a routine on‑call emergency response schedule
• Performing snow removal and salting as required
• Maintaining a positive work environment, motivating the team, and cultivating a team atmosphere, including implementing and enforcing all rules established in the company’s Rules/Policies and Procedures documents
• Training and developing new maintenance team members as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous supervisor experience
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and flexible
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong work ethic
• Stable, progressive work history and 5+ years’ experience in the property maintenance industry
• Strong plumbing background with dual temperature system experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
