Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of technicians across rotating shifts; facilitate daily hand‑off meetings to ensure seamless communication. Lead a team of Industrial Technicians to drive 95%+ machine uptime and master troubleshooting for high-speed automated production lines.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical resource for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens) and VFDs.
- Mechanics: Mention hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
- System Optimization: Manage the site CMMS to improve preventative maintenance schedules, reduce downtime, and track parts inventory.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Engineering and Plant Leadership to prioritize work orders and manage the maintenance budget.
- Operational Safety: Act as a key member of the Safety and 5S committees, ensuring all work meets OSHA and NFPA standards.
- Project Management: Oversee facility upkeep, manage external contractors, and lead equipment upgrades for improved speed and quality.
Required Skills
- 5 years managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 19.10 and 19.26 and NFPA Code.
- Strong effective communication & time management.
- Maintenance experience with: electrical fabrication, mechanical, plumbing, and building.
- Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and chiller systems.
- Manage supplies to support preventative maintenance and repair needs.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce overall down time on machines.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production.
- Forklift maintenance and PM schedules.
- PLC Theory understanding.
- CMMS knowledge and experience.
- Education: High School Diploma required.
