• 10 years of mechanic experience required.

Job Description:

• Fleet Manager - Construction Department Fleet
• Location of Shop - Odessa Texas (New multi-bay facility equipped with overhead cranes, washday, and welding shop)
• Able to diagnose and perform maintenance work on pick up trucks (gas and diesel, 1/2 ton to 1 ton trucks), heavy equipment (backhoes, maintainers, rollers etc.), tractors (Freightliner, Kenworth, Mack, etc.), trailers (utility trailers, lowboy, trash trailers, heavy transport trailers, etc.)
• Delegate maintenance work, manage monthly maintenance budgets
• Able to work in conjunction with construction field operations to facilitate fleet maintenance work and prevent/resolve field maintenance breakdowns
• Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems on diesel and gas vehicles
• Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions
• Planning work and testing procedures using experience and other organizational methods
• Motor vehicle diagnostics
• Schedule preventative maintenance
• Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
• Provide routine inspections of vehicles
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance files, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation
• Manage and supervise yard time for shop
• Maintain and clean shop equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
• Adhere to company work safety policies

Experience:

• Mechanic (10 years)
