Job description

Maintenance Supervisor

Will oversee and coordinate our maintenance team in Northbrook, IL. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensuring plant productivity and safety while maintaining equipment to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with departments including sanitation, production, and quality assurance to resolve maintenance-related issues affecting productivity.
• Spend 90% of the time on the floor, conducting inspections and addressing maintenance needs to improve line efficiency.
• Coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Perform and inspect repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Train and mentor the maintenance team on troubleshooting and equipment setup.
• Use Upkeep software to track maintenance activities and report progress.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials, and forecast orders for critical supplies.
• Weld mild steel and stainless steel, troubleshoot drives, and use HMI screens for adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Support the company’s food safety initiatives and ensure compliance with SQF, OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and EPA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in industrial settings.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software (Upkeep).
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in industrial operations or maintenance.

Education & Experience:

• Proven leadership in industrial operations or maintenance, minimum 3 years.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Physical Requirements: The position requires regular physical activity, such as reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs, and walking/standing within and around the site for a minimum of 8-12 hours daily.

Shift: 1st shift: 4am to 2pm

and

3rd shift: 7pm to 5am

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 DOE
