Job summary

AAMCI is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at two Section 8 elderly housing communities in Norris, TN and Jacksboro, TN. The role includes on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays with premium pay for emergencies.

Starting pay ranges from $24–$26 per hour, with comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, plus a generous 401K program. Full-time, M-F 8-5, in-house training and certifications are offered.

Qualifications

• HVAC/EPA certification is a plus.
• Experience with PTACs preferred.
• Ability to adhere to the safety program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical problems.
• Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
• Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to testing devices.
• Complete work orders and record parts and costs.

Maintenance Supervisor

AAMCI is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at two Section 8 elderly housing communities: a 50-unit property in Norris, TN and a 44-unit property in Jacksboro, TN. These affordable housing communities serve income-qualified residents through a Section 8 rent subsidy program.

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and efficient maintenance operations, with the goal of fostering well-maintained communities where residents can thrive. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with premium pay provided for emergency callouts. Starting pay ranges from $24–$26 per hour based on experience. AAMCI also offers extensive training and paid opportunities to obtain advanced certifications.

Full Time, M-F 8-5

AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical problems
• Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components
• Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drill, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
• Complete work orders
• Order parts as necessary
• Recording type and cost of repair work

Qualifications necessary for success:

• HVAC/EPA Certified a plus
• Experience with PTACs preferred
• Ability to adhere to work safety program
• Ability to perform all duties including but not limited to lifting, climbing, standing, bending, loading, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather
