Main Purpose of Job
Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, and Good Manufacturing Practices, recognizing these as absolute priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and train technicians.
- Act as a floor leader responsible for the full operation of the plant.
- Make independent decisions to maintain efficient plant operations.
- Complete all tasks using company-provided tools (CMMS, hand tools, training, etc.).
- Delegate maintenance responsibilities aligned with maintenance goals and PM compliance.
- Oversee, instruct, and assist with projects, line calls, and breakdowns.
- Find, assist, or order parts needed for jobs.
- Review work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Validate work order data, monitor aging, and control backlog.
- Assist in scheduling routine overhauls, equipment modifications, and projects.
- Provide necessary prints, drawings, or documents for jobs.
- Work with the Reliability Manager to update preventive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability.
- Recommend equipment or component replacements based on CMMS data.
- Supervise team activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Manage equipment failure recovery through resource management and communication with production and maintenance teams.
- Provide timely feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- Promote a safe teamwork environment.
- Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Provide daily shift reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by maintenance management.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of operations and maintenance leadership.
- Knowledge of PM, project management, and bakery equipment operations.
- Ability to provide hands-on leadership and contribute to the bakery's success.
- 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience is preferred.
Shift
- Nights, 2-2-3 schedule, 5PM - 5AM.
