Job summary

Dimension Hospitality in New Orleans is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the hotel's facilities, rooms, and public spaces are well maintained. You will support the Chief Engineer, lead a maintenance team, and manage preventive maintenance programs to keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll coordinate repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, conduct routine inspections, and train staff

Qualifications

• Hotel, commercial building, or facilities maintenance experience required.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using maintenance management systems and work-order tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and team assignments.
• Perform and oversee repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Support emergency repairs and respond promptly to maintenance-related issues.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
• Train, coach, and support maintenance team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, brand standards, and property procedures.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with departmental planning, projects, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Partner with other hotel departments to address operational and guest service needs.
