Job description

Guided Search Partners (GSP)

Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long‑term Relationships. We connect high‑performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility in Misssouri seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a rotating night shift.

This is a hands‑on leadership role in a 24/7 plant supporting molding, plating, paint, and assembly operations. The facility is preparing for additional growth, including new business and the installation of several large‑tonnage presses over the next 6–8 months.

This is a strong fit for a maintenance leader who enjoys troubleshooting, developing technicians, building accountability, and helping a team move toward a stronger multi‑craft maintenance structure.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead night shift maintenance activity across the plant while supporting uptime, PM execution, troubleshooting, and technician development.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians on rotating night shift
  • Support molding, plating, paint, and assembly operations
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and hydraulic circuits
  • Drive root cause analysis and follow-through on maintenance issues
  • Reinforce accountability, discipline, and stronger maintenance practices
  • Support preventative and corrective maintenance activity
  • Use CMMS systems to track and improve maintenance execution
  • Help develop technician skillsets in a tight skilled‑trades market
  • Support continued progress toward lean, multi‑craft maintenance
Who You Are

You are a hands‑on maintenance leader who can troubleshoot with the team, hold people accountable, and keep work moving on the floor. You bring a strong diagnostic mindset and know how to walk through problems with structure. You are comfortable reviewing schematics, asking the right questions, and helping technicians improve their approach. You would do well here if you are steady, accountable, and ready to help build stronger follow‑up and maintenance discipline on night shift.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
  • Strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic circuits
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of CMMS systems
  • Leadership ability and accountability mindset
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience is a plus
  • FANUC robotics experience is a plus
  • Injection molding maintenance experience is a plus
  • Multi‑craft maintenance background preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic mindset
Why This Role Matters

This role matters because maintenance performance is critical to keeping a high-volume automotive plant running safely and efficiently. The facility has made progress with its PM system, but there is still opportunity to improve accountability, follow‑up, predictive maintenance, and technician development. The right supervisor will help strengthen night shift performance while supporting future plant growth. For someone who enjoys solving problems, leading from the floor, and building a stronger team, this is a role where your impact will be noticed quickly.
