TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Wayland, MI plant. You will oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise technicians, and drive a preventive maintenance program to keep equipment reliable and safe.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, strong leadership, and knowledge of safety regulations. Proficiency with SAP and MS Office is preferred. This is a second-shift, on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime.
  • Monitor inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and calibration of machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate and prioritize emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Conduct safety audits and assist in corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Wayland, MI, plant, a manufacturer of quality non-dairy creamer products.

Your role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. This position involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure proper maintenance practices and timely repairs.
  • Assign tasks and prioritize maintenance activities based on urgency and criticality of equipment.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment downtime and increase reliability.
  • Monitor and schedule regular inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and calibration of machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate and prioritize emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and assist in implementing corrective actions to resolve safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation on all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
Important Details

This is a full-time, on-site role on Second Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts. The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $76,200.00 - 114,200.00 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
