Job summary

FBSPL in Alabama is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in an automotive manufacturing environment. You will supervise and develop a maintenance team, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, and read complex electrical schematics and blueprints.

The role requires 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience and 3–5 years in automotive manufacturing, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 3–5 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred; injection molding experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, 24VDC, 120/240/480VAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls.
  • Welding, forklift, and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ohm's Law, TS 16949, and ISO 14001.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong leadership, communication, math, troubleshooting, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance employees.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Read advanced electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot control circuits, integrated circuits, and systems up to 480VAC.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain machine functionality.
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic circuits and size motor starters/overloads.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, projects, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Manage employee timecards, overtime, and vacation approvals through Infor.
  • Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Provide maintenance updates, project status, and budget information to management.
  • Travel to customer and industrial manufacturing sites as needed.

Job description
