POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance operations for both restaurant locations and the corporate office. This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance team, coordinating and assigning work orders, performing hands-on repairs, managing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring facilities are maintained in excellent condition. The Maintenance Supervisor also handles administrative functions including scheduling, inventory tracking, and daily reporting to the CEO/Owner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all maintenance staff.
- Assign and follow up on maintenance tasks based on repair needs reported by the CEO/Owner and the Operations team.
- Monitor team schedules and attendance; submit biweekly attendance records.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee repairs and preventative maintenance on restaurant and office equipment (e.g., grills, ovens, slicers, steamwells, plumbing, electrical systems).
- Respond to facility repair issues, including flooring, ceiling tiles, walls, curb/parking lot maintenance, and roof leaks.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify repair needs or potential safety hazards.
- Install or supervise installation of new equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage and prioritize maintenance work orders using MaintainX or similar system; ensure accurate and timely updates.
- Maintain inventory of equipment parts and supplies; order parts as needed and track usage by date.
- Keep detailed records on completed repairs, van maintenance, charge slips, and gas reimbursement logs.
- Submit required paperwork according to internal schedules, including the master maintenance list and charge receipts.
Communication & Reporting:
- Report daily to the CEO/Owner with updates on jobs completed, open issues, and team activity.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments as needed for repairs, installations, or inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
On-Call Rotation:
- Participate in rotating weekend “on-call” maintenance schedule. (Note: You will not be required to work every weekend.)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Required Experience:
- Proven maintenance experience, preferably in a restaurant.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Hands-on experience with minor plumbing, electrical, and facility repairs.
- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with maintenance work order systems (e.g., MaintainX).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train and develop a maintenance team.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- High level of integrity, dependability, and initiative.
