Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor in Lorain, OH. The role requires prior supervision experience in an automotive manufacturing plant with metal stamping and welding expertise.

You will oversee the paint line, coordinate with maintenance and quality, manage headcount within budget, and lead Lean initiatives. The position is full-time and direct-hire with competitive compensation, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits including paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering/manufacturing management.
• 3–5 years of maintenance supervision in an automotive plant.
• Ability to troubleshoot various equipment, presses and machinery.
• Metal stamping and welding/assembly expertise.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.

Responsibilities

2ND SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - LORAIN, OHIO

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Lorain, Ohio needs a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor. Previous Maintenance Supervision Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Needed. Metal Stamping & Welding Expertise is Required.

This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for activities of workers in all phases of the plant operation.
• Manage the paint line shift operation.
• Ensure effective employee relations.
• Coordinate production activities with maintenance and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Work with human resources to maintain corporate policies and manage overall headcount according to the budget and sales.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• These responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and discipline; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
• Revise production schedules and priorities because of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Consult with engineering relative to modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products, or when developing new lines for a new product.
• Troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
• Provide support to all operations through the application of Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen Principles.
• Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.
• Frequent communication with all levels of Management, Corporate Support Groups, Quality Assurance, and Plant Personnel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Management, a related Technical Field, or equivalent Education & Experience.
• 3 to 5 years of previous Maintenance Supervisory Responsibility in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Required
