2ND SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - LORAIN, OHIO
A Leading Automotive Supplier near Lorain, Ohio needs a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor. Previous Maintenance Supervision Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Needed. Metal Stamping & Welding Expertise is Required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for activities of workers in all phases of the plant operation.
- Manage the paint line shift operation.
- Ensure effective employee relations.
- Coordinate production activities with maintenance and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Work with human resources to maintain corporate policies and manage overall headcount according to the budget and sales.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- These responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and discipline; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
- Revise production schedules and priorities because of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consult with engineering relative to modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products, or when developing new lines for a new product.
- Troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
- Provide support to all operations through the application of Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen Principles.
- Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.
- Frequent communication with all levels of Management, Corporate Support Groups, Quality Assurance, and Plant Personnel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Management, a related Technical Field, or equivalent Education & Experience.
- 3 to 5 years of previous Maintenance Supervisory Responsibility in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Required
- Ability to Troubleshoot various Equipment, Presses & Machinery
- Metal Stamping & Welding / Assembly Expertise
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Knowledge is a Must
- Knowledge of IATF16949
- Knowledge of Safety Requirements
