Job summary

Jasper Lumber Company, LLC, a producer of Southern Yellow Pine quality lumber, is expanding and seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are completed on schedule, and drive safety and reliability across the plant. The Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates with Safety, Quality, Production and Human Resources.

• Successfully manage maintenance team, enforcing plant rules and safety regulations.

• Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues and optimize resources.
• Handle disciplinary issues and onboard new staff.
• Participate in new employee selection and onboarding.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Jasper Lumber Company, LLC, a producer of Southern Yellow Pine quality lumber, is excited about our ongoing expansion that will increase production and create many new job opportunities. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for safely supervising the maintenance team, ensuring all repairs and preventative maintenance jobs are successfully completed on schedule.

The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and interfaces frequently with other departments including Safety, Quality, Production and Human Resources.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following.

• Successfully manage maintenance team, enforcing plant rules and safety regulations to attain company goals as to safety and quality.

• Prioritize, schedules and delegates work assignments to gain greatest efficiency and productivity to eliminate mechanical downtime.
• Identify, plan, and track preventative maintenance needs.
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues, achieve goals, and maximize resources.
• Handles all employee disciplinary issues, recommends action to take based on company’s disciplinary policy.
• Participate in new employee selection process and onboarding.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience with strong leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills- ability to think and act strategically.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Detailed oriented with great time management and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Post-secondary education preferred with an industrial related degree or diploma (or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in industrial maintenance).
