Job summary

Swisher in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department, including union craftspeople and maintenance professionals, and to keep grounds, buildings and equipment safe and functional.

You will manage the workforce, plan capital projects, coordinate with contractors, review work orders, and enforce safety policies to support the site and company goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company rules, environmental, life safety, OSHA, and permit required policies and procedures are upheld and carried out in accordance with Company Policies, State and Federal guidelines.
• Research and procure materials; review and pay invoices for day-to-day maintenance, project work and service contracts.
• Manage the Maintenance workforce utilizing the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Write and manage capital projects and coordinate with contractors and vendors for successful completion.
• Review and monitor established work orders and take corrective actions when trends reflect the need.
• Perform additional duties as required to support departmental and organizational goals.

The Maintenance Supervisor manages, leads, and directs the Maintenance Department including union craftspeople and maintenance professionals. You will oversee grounds, buildings, and equipment, and ensure that workspaces are safe and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure company rules, environmental, life safety, general safety, OSHA, and permit required policies and procedures are upheld and carried out in accordance with Company Policies, State and Federal guidelines.
• Research and procure materials; review and pay invoices for day-to-day maintenance, project work and service contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems including HVAC, natural gas, power, boilers, water
  treatment, and plantwide water use reduction
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
