Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and cleaning operations for our facilities in Irving, TX. You will oversee staff, perform routine upkeep, safety inspections, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a Class B license may be required. Prior supervisory experience in institutional maintenance and knowledge of safety protocols will help you succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in housekeeping institutional management is desirable.
• Supervisory experience in a facilities setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates department operations, interviews, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates staff for maintenance and cleaning of facilities.
• Performs light maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, wet-washes, and vacuuming of floors as needed.
• Inspects facilities and directs safety checks of residential facilities.
• Conducts inspections of wet pipe sprinkler systems.
• Performs regular vehicle checks and daily grounds checks, ensuring areas are clear of debris.
• Oversees disinfection efforts and follows infection control guidelines.
• Repairs mechanical failures or vehicle issues and maintains supplies inventory.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates department operations. Interviews, trains, supervisors, schedules, and evaluates staff to assure the maintenance and cleaning of all facilities.
• Leads and performs the following duties as required: light maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, wet-washes, and vacuuming of floors.
• Inspects facilities and directs the performance as well as does safety checks of residential facilities.
• Conducts inspections of wet pipe sprinkler systems.
• Performs regular vehicle checks, daily residential grounds checks, and ensures grounds are clear and free of debris.
• Oversees and assists with disinfecting areas by scrubbing or spraying as needed. Follows infection control guidelines.
• Repairs any mechanical failures or negative conditions. Repairs company vehicles.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

• Educational Background: High school graduation or G.E.D. required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Work Experience: Special courses in housekeeping institutional management are desirable. Experience in functions to be supervised is essential, whether gained from employment or practical training. Experience in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated is required. Class B license may be required.
