LR Management in Michigan is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to support the Property Manager in safety, maintenance, and equipment needs across the community. The ideal candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, and have apartment maintenance experience, with strong leadership and budget awareness.

Responsibilities include coordinating projects, bidding and supervising contractors, managing supplies, and ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining curb appeal.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (preferred) or Technician in a multi-family apartment setting or equivalent industry.
• HVAC and EPA Certification.
• Experience with Yardi.
• Experience in estimating maintenance timelines and costs associated with projects.
• The ability to set goals and create a plan to accomplish them.
• The ability to understand and work within a budget.
• Knowledge of property management at the leasing and administrative levels.
• Intermediate computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Proven time management skills in meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
• The ability to create a team-centered environment and lead that team effectively.
• Pool certification preferred.

• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, changing locks and cutting keys, make ready punch lists, carpentry, landscaping, and general curb appeal.
• Ordering supplies for inventory.
• Scheduling projects in vacant apartments ahead of time to get work completed in a timely manner.
• Managing large capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors and sub-contractors, and reviewing completed work.
• Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve any issues.

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to work with the Property Manager to ensure and coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the property, along with overall requirements of the community.
