Job Overview
Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor
The Production Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on all machinery. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot problems safely. The supervisor will lead a maintenance team, collaborate with team members to resolve machine issues, and keep management informed of ongoing projects that could impact equipment and production timelines within a TPM environment.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full-time position working 2:30 pm to 12:30 am, Monday-Friday. Flexibility for additional hours, including weekends and holidays, is required as needed.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanics to maximize productivity.
- Train and develop maintenance personnel.
- Share best practices across the maintenance department.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment uptime and capability.
- Develop and evolve maintenance programs through TPM initiatives.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
- Prioritize work requests based on preventive maintenance and downtime data.
- Translate equipment manuals into effective preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment systems and implement improvements for continuous production enhancement.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills effectively.
- Manage maintenance labor to support operations and minimize overtime.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMPs, HACCP, and other regulations.
- Coordinate with planners to schedule maintenance work.
- Monitor production schedules for quality, quantity, and safety.
- Maintain SOPs and ensure accurate reporting of work performed.
- Operate within the department's budget, ensuring availability of supplies and equipment.
- Establish and report on process control and improvement programs.
- Provide training and cross-training to meet quality, safety, and production standards.
- Perform other duties as business needs evolve.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Supply Chain, or related).
- At least 2 years of maintenance leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma/TPM experience highly preferred.
